Hello! Sorry if I'm writing in English, but I am Italian and I don't speak German at all.

I am interested in buying a notebook, and I found out that the Acer 292 serie should be exactly what I need: quite powerful, long lasting battery and not too expensive.

Browsing the web, I discovered that in Austria and Germany Acer is selling a version of the notebook with SXGA+ native screen resolution; so I'm searching and economic and reliable online shop in Germany or Austria where to buy it. Can you help me?

The model name is Travelmate 292LMi-M11 with sxga+ screen.

By the way, what do you think about Acer 292 standard 1024*768 screen and about this sxga+ screen? Thank you very much.

i just can't stand 1024x768 so i would go for the sxga panel.

I'd write them a mail before ordering... if the notebook they offer really has sxga.

please go for sxga+, when buying a 292lmi-m11, as the sxga+ panels, which are used @acer, are of a far better quality than the xga panels. but you could also get a acer extensa wlmi 4001, it's quite a good lappie too! (a friend of mine bought one)

thank you! Now my only doubt is about the display, especially when running 4:3 low resolution applications, like old games in 800*600. :\

well 1400:1050 is pretty much the same as 800:600 or 4:3 (use your calc!) imho the downscaling is even better than on an nec lcd 1760nx...
