Zweitauflage Corsair XMS3500C2

Fremont, CA, November 15, 2002:? Corsair Memory, Inc., an industry leader in
ultra-performance DDR DRAM modules for gaming and overclocking applications,
has announced that it is moving to more aggressive latency settings on its
popular XMS3500 line of ultra-performance memory modules.

"There was some dissatisfaction among our enthusiast customer base regarding
the latency settings for the XMS3500 modules," stated Don Lieberman, VP of
Engineering at Corsair. "We have listened to these customers, and engineered
and qualified a production test that uses more aggressive settings."

The modules are now tested in an Abit KD7 KT400-based motherboard using the
following settings:

Memory bus speed: 2x217 MHz
CAS latency: 2.0 clock cycles
RAS precharge: 3 cycles (was previously 4 cycles)
RAS-to-CAS delay: 3 cycles (was previously 4 cycles)
RAS active to precharge: 7 cycles (was previously 8 cycles)
Command rate: 1T (1 cycle)
Population: 1 module/system

The XMS3500 modules are generally regarded as the very fastest memory modules
available. Independent review sites have confirmed this with extensive side-by-
side testing with other modules. As summarized by one UK reviewer, "Corsair
have yet again upped the ante in the memory stakes with what is some of the
fastest DDR memory on the planet... the fact is that Corsair are offering
simply the best memory around."

hmmm - ich hab´ ja keine 3500C2er - aber vermutlich gingen die meisten (zumindest einzeln) auch mit diesen Settings der 2t-Auflage (jetzt ist´s halt garantiert).

Vorallem bei Corsair ist im Normalfall noch einiges drinnen (und bis zu 2,8 Vdimm darf mann auch officiell gehen, ohne dass man Scherereien mit der Garantie hat) - aber wie hier auch schon erwähnt, die Erstauflage war leider mies und dementsprechend war nicht viel mehr herauszubekommen.....

ansosnten wärs ja ein Garantiefall...

ich glaub eher dein board hat limitiert - soll kein flame sein, aber remember: es gibt besseres

und der 761 wurde nicht unbedingt für busspeeds jenseits der 170 gebaut
