The two biggest keys going for this system are their low-noise heatpipe system and their high-wattage / low-noise power supply. These two elements allow one to stuff this system full of high-end components without running out of juice or becoming an annoyance due to fan speed. In particular, their quad-heatpipe CPU cooler is particularly impressive, as it manages to tame the savage 775-pin Prescott beast at insanely quiet noise levels.

Performance wise, the 915G chipset used in the EX915 can take care of business. While the chipset lacks the allure of Intel’s high-end 925X chipset, there is a very, very small difference in overall performance between these chipsets. We would not hesitate to recommend the 915G chipset for a gaming system or a low-end content creation workstation – it really works quite well and has a lot of great features going for it. With that said, don’t expect huge performance gains with the new 900-series chipsets over the previous generation 865/875P chipsets.
