Review @ ThinkComputers.orgIf I were to suggest a PC speaker system for anyone this would be it! The easy setup and not having to have a sound card is ideal for anyone that is new to computers. If you do not want to spend the money on the FX5051's, Altec Lansing has the FX4021 for $100 less which is a 2.1 system that does not have the surround sound or USB connectivity, but still has the wireless remote, control pod, and elegant speakers. As far as sound goes I cannot really say anything bad about the FX5051's, I really enjoyed the sound whether listening to music, playing a game, or even just the Windows sounds! The speakers also look great, and the satellites and small so they can be put almost anywhere! The control pod is a nice addition and makes things a lot easier, especially if you have a habit of loosing remotes! These might be a bit pricey, but you have to figure you do not have to buy a nice sound card, or even have one to experience the full potential of the speakers! Overall I am very impressed with the FX5051's and I can easily recommend them to anyone who is looking for a new speaker system. ThinkComputers gives the Altec Lansing FX5051 5.1 Speaker System a 10 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award!
