totale n00b-frage (bzgl. Bios Update)

also wenn das flashtool unter dos läuft gibts nur 2 möglichkeiten:
1. du borgst dir ein floppy-lw aus
2. du machst dir auf der hd eine ganz kleine dos-partition von der du dann booten und flashen kannst (ein _bisi_ umständlich)

?? Was du meinst ist wahrscheinlich ins Bios kommen (strg-h). das hat aber mit DOS _nix_ zu tun.
das du nach einem mobo tausch net ins win kommst is klar, das musst du (sehr wahrscheinlich) neu installieren. probier mal abgesicherten modus-->wenn der auch net geht-->neuinstallation

zurück zum eigentlichen thema: das flashtool ist beim bios-updatefile dabei, das kannst du dir auf der epox-page holen...

wo hin kommst du dann mit strg-h (ich schätz mal ins raid-bios, falls du eins hast...)
natürl kannst du wieder ntfs nehmen. du musst dich jetzt entscheiden ob du 2k nochmal drüberinstallierst (eher ne notlösung) oder ob du im 2k-setup deine startpartition löscht und neu anlegst (geht aber nur wenn du sys und daten net auf einer partition hast...sonst sind die daten weg)

du lädst dir von der epox-hp das bios runter, formatierst dir eine bootfloppy, kopierst das runtergeladene zeug drauf (zuerst entpacken ), dann bootest von der floppy und flasht dein bios (näheres dazu in der readme); pass nur auf das du eine diskette nimmst die 100pro ok is, sonst kannst dir das update versaun...

fahr jetz mal von der hackn nachhaus..fallst noch fragen hast--> kann sie dir dann ca. in 45min beantworten

so genau hätt ichs ah wieder net gebraucht aber trotzdem danke

The ALT+F2 Method
Download the required BIOS image file from the EPoX website.

The Boot Disk Method

Create a bootable floppy disk in accordance with the instructions laid out in the manual of your particular operating system. This bootable floppy needs to be able to boot to a DOS console capable of executing normal MS-DOS batch and executable files.
Download the required BIOS image file from the EPoX website.
Copy to this floppy disk a copy of AWDFLASH.EXE and also a copy of the BIOS binary image file called xxxxxxxx.bin
Insert the diskette into drive A, reboot your system and boot from the diskette.
When booting is finished, type awdflash *.bin /cc/cp/cd/R (dependant of the name of the BIOS image file) and then press return to run BIOS upgrade program.
The BIOS will automatically flash and reboot the machine.
After this, press DEL to enter the BIOS setup and select to "LOAD OPTIMIZED DEFAULTS". After doing this select to "SAVE & EXIT"
Please note that this does not create a backup of the BIOS binary file.
