wie kick ich den rest von W2K Srv aus dem MBS?

Hatte W2K und W2K Adv Srv installiert.
Hab W2K Adv Srv vollständig gelöscht und jetz is des immer noch im Master Boot Sector drinnen! Mein Norton Antivirus scheint das zu checken und funzt deshalb net weil des immer noch glaubt W2K Adv Srv is installiert.

Also wie kann ich das ausm MBS löschen?

bist sicher, dass man das bei einem W2k Sys machen sollte - auf einer der Knowledge Base seiten die ich grad abgeklappert habe, haben sie genau davor gewarnt!

hm, ahso...das "normale" win2k bleibt oben...ich dachte, die platte is komplett leer dazwischen...hmmm...dann fallt ma auch net viel ein...wo schaut der norton nach? hast es schon ausm boot-menu (boot.ini) rausgelöscht?

edit: bzw. wenn du mit der CD startest oder mit der wiederherstellungskonsole gibts glaub ich an punkt, wo du den MBR wiederherstellen kannst...sollte funzen

fdisk /mbr geht schon, allerdings musst dann mit der w2k cd den mbr wiederherstellen (fixmbr in der shell, afaik)

hab jetzt nochmal nachgelesen.. die Auflistung mit den expliziten Warnungen find ich nimma...

aber fdisk /mbr Infos sind nur für
Dos, Win 95, 98 und ME angegeben...

ich wär vorsichtig.

es gibt übrigens in der Wiederherstellungskonsole auch den Befehl fixmbr wie ich grad seh:

FIXMBR

fixmbr device name

Use this command (where device name is an optional device name that specifies the device that needs a new MBR) to repair the master boot record (MBR) of the system partition. This command is used in scenarios where a virus has damaged the MBR and Windows cannot start.

WARNING: This command has the potential to damage your partition tables if a virus is present or a hardware problem exists. This command may lead to inaccessible partitions. Microsoft suggests running antivirus software before using this command.

The name can be obtained from the output of the map command. If this is left blank, the boot device's MBR is fixed, for example:

fixmbr \device\harddisk2

If Fixmbr detects an invalid or non-standard partition table signature, it prompts you for permission before rewriting the MBR.

Wenn er dann noch was auswählen will, dann editierst die versteckte Datei boot.ini in deiner Primärpartition (einfach den Eintrag fürs andere OS rauslöschen)
