Möchte ein altes System mit einem Asus P5k-V Chipset G33/ICH9 mit einer SSD aufrüsten.

Kann ich da jede x-beliebige SSD nehmen oder kann es da Probleme geben?

Grundsätzlich kannst jede SSD nehmen, aber schau im Bios, ob überhaupt AHCI möglich ist.

Natürlich kannst eine SSD normalerweise auch im "IDE"-Modus betreiben, das ist aber nicht so gut.

Ich glaube, ich habe gelesen, dass in dem Fall Sandforce-SSDs ganz brauchbar sind.

ICH9 hat wohl keinen AHCI support, nur ICH9R usw.

Angeblich hatte das erste Bios von dem Mobo wohl noch AHCI-Untersützung, aber dann nicht mehr, wenn es stimmt, was man im Inet lesen kann.

Hier hat man eine schöne Übersicht, und es ist zu Recht ein * beim ICH9, weil die Sachlage nicht ganz klar ist.

hmm wenn das mit dem crossflash funktioniert... hat das board eine gute bios-recovery funktion? :D

Ich hab damals ein Asus P5K auf P5K-R geflashed - hat auf Anhieb funktioniert und dann war AHCI verfügbar.
