es hört sich vielleicht blöd an aber bei festplatten kenn i mi überhaupt net aus deshalb frage ich mal was folgende dinge beteuten:
SCSI
LVD/Ultra2 - SCSI
SCA

mmh i hoff wirklich i vertu mich jez nicht aba:
unterscheidungen gibst hier meistens nur im durchsatz

IDE .. kennst wahrscheinlihc eh, hat glaub i 33 MB/s (theoretisches maximum ..)
ATA 100 ... 100MB/s ???

SCSI .. glaub standart war da 66 MB/s
Ultra SCSI / Wide SCSI .. gibst auch noch, seltener ...
LVD/Ultra2/U160 - SCSI .. sogar 160 MB/s
SCA ... hat glaub i a 160 MB/s

für so SCSI dinger brauxt aba wida an eigenen controller (SCSI controller .. wer hätte das gedacht

) --> teuer

als normal sterblicher (also als nicht server) würd i da a IDE ATA 100 empfehlen .. is billiger / leiser als SCSI.

bitte nicht hauen, wenn ich da irgendwo stark daneben lieg

ATA 100 = UDMA Modus 5

Entweder dein Motherboard beherrscht ATA 100 (tun eigentlich eh alle neueren) oder du musst dir einen Controller kaufen so wie bei SCSI. Die Platte kannst zwar auch an einen UDMA66 Controller hängen aber dann hast halt maximal (erreichst sowieso ned) 66MB/s.

So a Controller kostet ca. 899 beim Actron (DawiControl)

ich versteh den sinn von ata100 net oder gar dem neuen ata133( das es ja von maxtor bald gibt) wenn die festplatten net mal über 66 MB/sec kommen AUSGENOMMEN in raid systemen..

der cache kann so schnell geschrieben werden aber sonst auch nix also wo liegt der sinn der sache?

2 x 66 mb/sekunde (je einmal pro platte) ist theoretisch bereits 132 mb/sek.

in der praxis schaut das natürlich anders aus, weil sich die IDE kanäle beim schreiben ja blockieren usw.

NOCH nicht - aber nur ein vorausschauender standard ist ein guter standard (im gegensatz zum "640k ist genug"-standard von m$... - auch schon wieder lang her...)
