Hi,
also zuerst einmal, möchte ich anmerken, dass ich mich auf dem Gebiet Festplatten,... nicht so gut auskenne
Ich möchte meine Partition C: (5 GB belegt) von meiner 60 GB Maxtor auf meine 10 GB Seagate Barracuda II kopieren (mit Driveimage 4.0)! Einen Raidcontroller besitze ich (leider) nicht, also habe ich die Seagateplatte an den zweiten Anschluss des Hdd-Idekabels angeschlossen. Doch die Seagate wird nicht erkannt ;((, was habe ich falsch gemacht, und funzt das kopieren der Patitionen überhaupt so, wie ich mir das vorstelle?
Ich bin für jede Antwort dankbar!

hast du die festplatten gejumpert? die 60GB musst du auf master setzen die 10 GB auf slave. meist sind die jumper neben dem IDE kabel anschluss.. schau mal ob das stimmt

So,
jetzt funzt´s. Kostet es mich eigentlich Performance, wenn ich diese beiden Platten gleichzeitig laufen lasse?

IM Benchmark schon. In real life wennst net grad videostreams hast merkst nix davon.
und wenn beide halbwegs neuern Datums sind ka problem(also ne alte 800mb Platte würd ich net dran hängen)

Moin,
die Platten sind folgende:

1x 60 GB Maxtor Hdd (7200 Up/m, 2 MB-Cache, U-ATA 100, nagelneu)
1x 10 GB Seagate Barracuda II (5400 up/m, U-ATA 66)

Also wie groß würde der Performanceverlust in GAMES sein, auf die 10er würde ich sowieso nur Div X Filme spielen!

Gleich 0, weil du auf die 10er sowieso nicht zugreifst beim Spieln, wenn nur Filmchen drauf sind.
