It’s like opening a dusty old desk drawer and finding an undiscovered LucasArts adventure game you’ve never played before.

Thimbleweed Park is a new game that cuts to the core of what made classic point & click adventure games so special, and done by the actual people who spawned the genre.

Thimbleweed Park is the curious story of two washed up detectives called in to investigate a dead body found in the river just outside of town. It’s a game where you switch between five playable characters while uncovering the dark, satirical and bizarre world of Thimbleweed Park.

Lost along a dusty stretch of highway, the town of Thimbleweed Park once boasted an opulent hotel, a vibrant business district and the state’s largest pillow factory, but now teeters on the edge of oblivion and continues to exist for no real reason. It’s a town that makes you itch and your skin crawl. It’s a place no one ever looks for, but everyone seems to find.

Das beste ist das dritte Backer-Tier:

"I pirated Maniac Mansion and Monkey Island when I was a kid and I feel bad!" This reward tier instantly absolves you of all guilt and includes the Thimbleweed Park game. All subsequent tiers also include guilt absolution.

*whistle* k.a. was er meint

n unrelated retro news, it is now official that Thimbleweed Park will be available on Steam. Other online stores will probably be added later and a DRM free version will be available via Humble Bundle. If you download the DRM free version, you need to pinky-swear you won’t upload it to pirate sites. That’s all we ask.

Big retro news today. First off the presses is that Ken Macklin, who did the cover art for Maniac Mansion, has agreed to do the cover art for Thimbleweed Park. So, if you’re getting the box or poster, it will feature glorious Ken Kacklin art. We’re excited to be working with him again.

*fap fap*
