The Game O' seems to have everything you'd want from a gaming mouse—impressively high DPI (2000), laser sensor, on-the-fly DPI switching, and some extra buttons. And heck, it even has three joysticks attached to it to usher in a world of 3D. These features are all positives, but the shoe falls when actually trying to use it. We weren't quite thrilled moving our cursor around. We don't like the idea of locking in our hand because that takes away from precise cursor movement we have to make on occasion. Ergonomic mice do this as well, but they are also ergonomically designed, boasting a more comfortable feel.

The main selling point is that this is a 3D gaming mouse. Its joysticks can be programmed to move in x-, y-, and z-axis. Its included software introduced us to 3D moving and modeling, and it was quite easy to deal with. We're bigger fans of the mouse when the program you're in doesn't require heavy cursor movement but more joystick movement. Using the joysticks was fun and interesting, and we had no problems with that.

To make this a true consumer device, Sandio will have to invest in making the Game O' compatible with most 3D applications out there. So far, it does a great job mimicking keyboard commands just by using the joystick, but there's a world of possibilities that you can take the mouse when you have full support. With Vista close to release, it would be great to have this mouse fully prepared for it. Imagine browsing through Vista's interface via 3D.
