es geht nicht... :EDIT: glaube entfernt !
es sind leider HW unterschiede
intressant ! "Sorry for my bad english. I have change the pcbs (ND1100/ND1300). All work fine. I have burn an -R in my ND1100 with the PCB of the ND1300. So I think only the difference is the Firmware.
My drives have the date:
ND1100 March 2003 Step GNK Firmware 1.A0 ND1300 April 2003 Step GEN Firmware 1.05 "
.. ich such weiter ...
OK everyone. Today I found out about R198 which is only located on the PCB of the NEC-1100A drive. When I compared the PCB's of the 1300A and 1100A it was the only difference I found.
I discussed this with Etna, and he found out in the FCC papers that it's only a bridge that pull one line of the pickup to (+)
I already flashed in the firmware of a 1300A into a 1100A with the tool on Etna's page without modifying the drive. It worked, but unfortunatly I wasn't able to burn DVD-R/RW with it. But the drive information in Nero says that it was capable of burning DVD-R after firmware upgrading! And it also reads the media information of an DVD-R media. But at the moment of burning Nero gave an error: "Illegal Medium"
So, if Etna is right and R198 is only a bridge, and no resistor, than probably you could transform your 1100A into an 1300A with only removing R198 (If this is the only hardware difference), and flashing the firmware of an 1300A (Maybe you don't even have to flash the drive to support DVD-R/RW)
With the tool on Etna's page it's no problem to flash back your drive with it's original firmware. I did. (Make a backup first!)
I think the best way to find out is that someone with a 1300A just makes a bridge on the location of R198. (That's easier than removing R198 from a 1100A PCB, and only temporarly) If the drive functions fully normally, but ain't able to burn DVD-R anymore and gives the same error in Nero, than it must be the sollution. By removing the bridge the drive should burn DVD-R again.
d.h: ich kann es flashen.. aber és geht nicht!!! die -R(RW)funktion zu nutzen !!!
