Some of the low quality, cheap clones that I saw at the show, could have the ability to spoil the reputation of the 'quality' products that are out there. This could also force a 'price war', which might cause the manufacturers of the higher quality machines, to have to drop their standards in order to compete - thus lowering the overall quality of products in the SFF market. (Or even worse, decide to quit the SFF market altogther!).
Also, there is the potential that people who buy these cheap 'clone' products, could have a bad experience with reliability or usability and decide that 'these SFF machines are rubbish!' and be put off for ever!

On the 'flip side', the majority of manufacturers have high quality and innovative products. If these manufacturers don’t give into the increasing pressure to reduce prices and instead, keep up their ingenuity, strive to keep increasing quality and functionality - then they have a real chance to really stand head and shoulders above everyone else..
