i hab da in da hackn so an mickrigen p4-1300 in da reissn - net nur dass des ding net gscheit übertaktbar is und des asus-brettl a schlechter scherz .. nein es kommt noch ärger:

des kastl macht ma grad mal 1.86 Mkeys/s. is doch etwas lächerlich.

wos is da faul ??

beim 463er client hat er gmeint er kennt nix nimmt den core 2 - beim 469er weiss er wenigstens scho, mit welcher cpu ers zu tun hat und nimmt einen core 8.

is offensichtlich trotzdem net die blüte

Ja hab ich auch schon glesen (GHN Forum) das da P4 a schaß für Rc5 is .Is also nix faul des is so.(totlach)
Aber dafür is Photoshop angeblich um einiges schneller(mit der P4 optimierung)

Es geht halt in Richtung RISC. Schau dir mal die Liste da an, die RISC CPUs sind alle saulangsam. Die x86 mit schnellen rot/shift-Operationen sind die einzigen, die gute RC5 Performance bieten, und der P4 hat keine schnellen rot/shift ops mehr.

Well, it was confirmed by Moose today that there won't be a bitslicing core for the P4. It seems that it doesn't have enough GP registers(in lamen's terms, it's not powerful enought) to do the job. While Dnet will continue to eak out some enhanced P4 cores, there's only so much they can do, since it has a 4 cycle ROTL latency(ROTL is an instruction RC5 uses a lot). Right now, Dnet and gang are only getting 1.3 kkeys/mhz/sec, meaning that unless the P4 ramps well, don't bet on seeing it blow the G4 or Athlon away any time soon.=( Oh well, there's allways OGR.=)

vor allem hat ein freund vom WEaSeL und mir jetzt an P4 und glaubt er is schneller als wir mit unseren 1GHz TBirds mit 3,5Mkeys/sec *muhahahaha*
