Review @ Future Looks
The Samsung 206BW is an elegant looking monitor borrowing heavily from its LCD Television division. The only thing that it should have never borrowed is the fixed height stand. I actually developed a kink in my neck having to look down at the monitor for a week. Either the designer is really short, or he has never used this monitor in real life. In order to get the height adjustment, an aftermarket stand would need to be used, which would, unfortunately, totally screw up the look of the monitor. Give us back our height adjustment Samsung!
If you can ignore the poor ergonomics long enough, you'll be treated by one of the best looking pictures that I've seen in a while. The 3000:1 contrast ratio (800:1 static) does so well at adjusting the picture. I was actually expecting to have to turn off the Dynamic setting and go straight to manual. Instead, I left it on and kept it on the whole time. Speaking of picture, the 2 ms (gray to gray) response time is fast enough to have me searching for lag in vain. LCD Monitors are finally hitting their stride when it comes to response time.
If you want one of the best looking 20 inch Widescreen LCD Monitors right now, the 206BW is hard to beat. It's fast and lag free, the picture is awesome even in full automatic mode, and the monitor just looks great on your desk. Despite the lame, non height adjustable stand, you'd still have to wrestle me for it. It's definitely a winner in my books.

Für 300€ ein imho guter Monitor
3 Jahre Garantie sind nicht zu verachten
sie liefern alle Kabel und ein gedrucktes Handbuch schon mit, das is auch nicht mehr überall selbstverständlich
einzig allein die auflösung von 1680 x 1050 ist nicht berauschend bei der Größe

Also bezüglich der Auflösung muss ich sagen, dass auf nem 20"er Widescreen 1680x1050 optimal passen, imho. Mehr wird dann schon sehr unangenehm, finde ich.
Der Bildschirm selbst sieht gut aus, auf prad.de sind auch einige sehr zufrieden damit, iirc.

Hm, wieso unterscheiden sich die Kontrastangaben vom Geizhals mit den tatsächlichen vom Review bzw. der Samsung website?

800:1 statisch (laut dem oberen text)
aber zwischen 800:1 und 700:1 ist auch ein unterschied stimmt

Ich finde die Auflösung ist ganz ok. 1920x1200 wäre die nächst-beste 16:10 Auflösung und die ist sicher zu winzig für einen 20" imho.
1920x1200 ist normal für TFTs ab 23/24" afaik.

muss dir recht geben .. war nur für mich subjektiv im ersten moment a bissl wenig
liegt warscheinlich daran dass ich zz ein neues display in der größe 23" aufwärts suche .. binn da wohl etwas "geschädigt"

Wie daisho schon angemerkt hat wirst du höhere Auflösungen bei 22" Monitoren und kleiner nicht finden.
Wenn dann nur bei Notebooks.
