Warum immer ich?!?
Hab mir heute eine neue CPU gekauft - Eingebaut, schalt den PC ein und er meint ich muß die CPU neu konfigurieren - OK, neu konfiguriert - Save&Exit .... und AUS!

Award Boot Block failure!
Insert Disk and press ENTER:

Geb ich ihm eine Disk mit Awdflash.exe drauf startet er automatisch das Programm und schreibt dann "Source File not found"!
Also würde er gerne ein neues File flashen, aber er findet keines obwohl ich das Original-Bios ebenfalls auf der Disk hab!
Wer weiß welchen Namen die Datei haben muß?

(Bei AMI muß sie einfach nur AMIBOOT.ROM heißen, dann wird sie automatisch geflashed - Aber wie bei Award?)

Ich will nicht schon wieder mein Mobo ausbauen müssen ... :mad:

For some reason, the BootBlock BIOS (which is what you're seeing) only wants to use Awdflash.exe version 8.22a. You can pick it up here:

Instruction:
Unpack Awdflash822a.zip (contents Awdflash_822a.exe) onto a blank formated floppy. Rename Awdflash_822a.exe AWDFLASH.EXE.

Unpack the contents of your BIOS package (NF7D24.EXE) and put NF7D_24.BIN onto the same floppy (careful not to overwrite the AWDFLASH.EXE from the last step).

That's all you need on the floppy.

Put the floppy into your rig and power it up. Hopefully there's enough left of the BootBlock to start the flash.

Hab genau das gemacht und es hat funktioniert! Oh Gott, ich möchte gar nicht wissen wie viele User ihr Mobo umsonst umgetauscht haben! Es wäre doch so einfach gewesen ... wir haben vermutlich alle nur die falsche Awdflash.exe verwendet!

Sogar ich selbst habe schon mal ein Mobo deshalb getauscht:

schon, aber die version 8.22a ist schon eine ältere
für die neueren biose wird 8.23a und höher verlangt. aber für so einen rettungsversuch braucht man anscheinend die alte version

Man lädt sich von der Homepage das Bios-File runter, Awdflash.exe ist automatisch in der letzten Version mit dabei ... und geht net!

Der BootBlock-Autoupdate-Mechanismus arbeitet nämlich NUR mit der Version 8.22A! Sonsts geht's net! Dann bleibt nur Bios-Baustein oder Mobo austauschen ... :bash:
