Earlier during the day we got some information about one of ABIT's coming Pentium 4 boards. Not fully unexpected it is a card in ABIT's price awarded MAX series which now shows up support for 800MHz FSB.
The card utilizes, as the name reveals, Intel's Canterwood chipset which announces for optimal performance. The board ships with lots of features for example 4 SATA connections, where 2 can be RAID:ed. GigaBit Ethernet, 8 USB2.0 ports, 2 FireWire ports and 6 channel sound are other nice supplements.
What for the moment gets the most attention is the board's solution for cooling the MOSFETs (handles the power to the cpu). These has a tendency go get very hot specially while overclocking, and ABIT has gone so far that they have equipped the board with active MOSFET cooling.
We can surely expect more information soon but for now you can enjoy two images of the board.

Hmm wenn man auf die MOSFETs noch Kükö draufbaut wär es sicher noch besser, aber das ding schaut echt genial aus. :eek:

Naja test würd ich schon noch abwarten, wird aber sicher nicht das schlechteste sein.

Naja, wenn der RAID controller am PCI-Bus hängt, bringt es herzlich wenig. Im Artikel steht nur, das zwei platten am ICH5 hängen und die anderen vier von einem bis dato unbekannten chip angesteuert werden... da bin ich schon gespannt.
