Wlan treiber für ubuntu auf Asus EEE 700s

Hi!

Ich habe jetz mittlerweile über eine stunde nach einen Treiber gesucht, aber leider nicht gefunden.

Kann mir jemanden weiterhelfen... kann ja nicht sein das es keinen gibt oder ?

für ubuntu 8.04 hardy heron

mach halt upgrade auf 8.10 und schau obs dann noch immer nicht geht

Würd ich auch empfehlen. Was für ein Chipsatz ist das? Poste vielleicht mal den Output von lspci wenn du kannst.

Ja, der Kernel hat gar keinen Support für die Hardware. Beim Upgrade ist ein aktuellerer dabei. Ansonsten musst du ein bissl zur Hardware recherchieren, Google sagte es handelt sich um einen Atheros Chipsatz.

Vor allem bei billigen non-Centrino Notebooks sind WLAN-Adapter oftmals intern via USB angebunden.

afaik ist das ein atheros chipsatz mit dem (im aktuellen kernel) passenden ath5k kernelmodul. Ansonsten sollte madwifi auch einen passenden treiber haben (modul heißt glaub ich ath_wlan)
