Hm heute sind auch schon in den Live CD Dirs files enthalten...

wer hats denn schon installiert ? würd mich interessieren ob sich viel geändert hat und wie der erste eindruck ist. gibts irgendwelche sachen auf die man aufpassen sollte ?

ich habs mir auf vmware install. - keine großen änderungen

install doc von der homepage kannst du auf bei 2004.0 verwenden

wenn du 1.4 verwendet reicht auf ein
emerge sync
emerge -U world

und du bist am neuersten stand

The install-x86-minimal-2004.0.iso is just the bootable part of the LiveCD.

The ISO images found in the x86/, i686/, pentium3/, pentium4/ and athlon-xp/
directories (named "packages-<subarch>-2004.0.iso") are not bootable but are
filled with pre-built binary packages, including KDE, GNOME, XFCE4,
OpenOffice.org, Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox, XFree86 and many more. Use one of
these CDs (choose one appropriate to your architecture) to set up a graphical
workstation quickly.

he cool - dau hast es unter VMWare zu laufen gebracht. ich habs auch unter VMWare probiert aber nicht geschafft . er schreib etwas von einem fehler das er die partitionen nicht anlegen kann - ausserdem erkennt er meine 1 GB preallocated "disk" nur mit 500 mb
ich hab aber nicht die 2004 verwendet sonder die 1.4 und VMWare läuft unter Mandrake 9.

edit: ich habs jetzt auch mit der Gentoo 2004 versuch -> funzt bei mir auch nicht.
