The new chip will be manufactured on Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.'s latest 0.13-micron manufacturing process, Huang said. Huang did not reveal the name or specific features of the chip, but did say it was a fundamentally new architecture from the GeForce 4 Titanium introduced earlier this year.
"It is the most important contribution we've made to the graphics industry since the founding of this company," Huang said, speaking at the Merrill Lynch Hardware Heaven Technology Conference.

Eine Grafikkarte wie ein Motherboard!
Kann man ganz einfach GPU + RAM etc. aufrüsten.
Wäre das möglich?

bringts halt ned wirklich, weil eh jeder graphikchip a andre pinzahl und a andres boardlayout benötigt 
naja ein p4 passt ja auch nicht in nem socketa board rein!
gibts verschiedene G-Boards (graphics board ) für versch. GPU Typen (nvidia, ati, etc)
würd sich ned rentieren..
außerdem ändert sich von einer generation zur nächsten einiges... speicher um a gutes eck schneller, wenn ned sogar doppelt so schneller.. dadurch ändern sich die gehäuse vom speicher natürlich auch.
außerdem hätt ma bei steckkontakten bei speicher & gpu sicher a arge signalverschlechterung.
bei den gf2 333mhz, bei gf3 460, bei gf4 750
Außerdem ändert sich ständig der pincount, jetzt sogar 256bit mem Breite usw..
du müsstest sowieso vo eienr generation auf dei nächste alles wechsln.
und ausadem würde alles noch teuer werden.
geschweigen denn a schlechtere qualität da ma ja überall verlsute dann hat an den kontakten
