Das neue Jahr bringt auch gleich eine neue Version der Catalyst-Treibersuite. Mit der Version 7.1 implementiert ATI CrossFire-Verbesserungen indem Alternate Frame Rendering (AFR) über CrossFire standardmäßig aktiviert wird. Mit AFR-kompatiblen Anwendungen sollte somit ein sofortiger Performance-Gewinn realisiert werden können. Zudem gibt es wie immer zahlreiche Bugfixes und eine bessere Leistung in einigen Spielen. Mit Battlefield 2 und Starwars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords kann es unter bestimmten Bedingungen immer noch zu Problemen kommen.

If you cannot be bothered uninstalling the current drivers to get the new version up and running, you shouldn’t be too fussed, as mentioned there isn’t a whole lot new Catalyst 7.1. If you’re about to reinstall or format your system, we would recommend you place the latest drivers on as they always bring bug fixes but we wouldn’t go too far out of the way this month.

bf2 macht probleme wennst in eienr auflösung von 1920x1044 oder 2048x1536 mit 6x AA startest, und kinghts of the old republic 2 hat fehldarstellungen wennst mit niedrigen details spielst

Also net wirklich grobe probleme imho ....

aber seit amd ati übernommen hat kommen die treiber wirklich regelmässig, dafür bietens nimmer so viel wie früher wo man wirklich oft optimierte performance hatte, sind eignetlich fast nur mehr bugfixes ...

Omega-Treiber auf Basis des Catalyst 7.1 ist auch schon draußen.

bei 1280*1024 ohne aa oder af ...
läuft weder auf meiner x1900gt noch auf der x800gto ordentlich (jeweils unterschiedliche cpus und chipsätze)
original ati+cp, ngohq+cp und omega+cp bereits probiert...
im menü hab ich immer wieder fehler

hab nur das geschrieben was in den release notes stand
obs wirklich stimmt kann ich net sagen weil ich keinen monitor habe bei dem solche auflösungen sinnvoll wären
