Video Review @ FastSiliconFrom what we could tell, the HW192D and the HW191D use the same TFT panel. The HW191D sports a less appealing non-gloss bezel and isn't maneuverable. You can read our review of the Hanns-G HW191D here. With response times of 5ms, contrast ratios of 700:1, and a crisp clear picture, both these monitors are a bargain. Obviously, if we had to choose, we'd go with the HW192D. We suggest doing a search on deal websites for these monitors, and due to past issues, we never recommend TigerDirect.com. NewEgg.com, Directron.com and Amazon.com are all good retailers selling Hanns-G products.
There is somewhat of an LCD price war going on right now, with even brand names like ViewSonic, Acer, Samsung, etc… selling monitors near the Hanns-G price range. However, these monitors mostly have lackluster specs compared to the Hanns-G products. Those that do have the same specifications, are priced over $200.00 USD, or don't offer a good bezel design. Hanns-G has been able to keep their price levels below the brand name LCD war. This is mainly due to the fact that under the name Hannstar, they make the TFT panels that go into a lot of these brand name monitors. We hope to review some of these brand name bargain monitors soon for comparison…. we’ll keep you updated.
