60 fps at cs but its not the game

hi!
In counterstrike my game run with 60.0 fps!
i have a geforce 4 mx440! i know its really ol but cs should run with more than 60 fps! my monitore(Samsung Sync Master 173T) is configurated with 60 fps! i dont know how to change that to 100 fps!
Can u help me?

Welcome!

Start - Settings - Controlpanel - Display - Settings - Advanced - Monitor - Refreshrate

There you can also configure the driversettings of your graphic card!
I would suggest to turn off V-SYNC there! ;)

since 60fps is the framerate u get when v-sync is enabled in your card's driver-setup, i assume this setting is the reason for this limitation.

and i don't really think that the monitor has anything to do with it.

That's almost correct!
With V-Sync "on" your maximum FPS is exactly the refreshrate of your monitor. If you change this to 85hz, your FPS will also increase to 85! ;)

Btw, if you can't change the refreshrate you probably haven't installed any monitor-driver ...

also sry aber wie komm ich nomal zu v-sync!

Rechtsclick auf den Desktop, Eigenschaften, *Einstellungen*-Tab, (rechts unten) Erweitert, *Monitor* Tab, 100Hz auswählen, übernehmen.

die Einstellungen für die vSync findest du in einem Tab im gleichen dialog; dürfte wohl 3D, nVidia oder so heißen

hm, könnt auch sein das in der cs- config auf 60fps max gestellt ist, die datei müsstest du finden unter ...cstrike/config.cfg mitm editor aufmachen. da dann die zeile maxfps oder so ähnlich suchen und den maximalen fps wert einstellen dan du haben willst. emefge
