The i850e adds support for the newest Pentium 4 CPU's as well as PC1066 RDRAM. Intel has also added USB 2.0 support to their arsenal recently, and are introducing Serial ATA soon as well. Things are going pretty well for Intel on the chipset side at the moment. It may have taken some time, but they are up to speed with both DDR and RDRAM chipsets.
