Shootout (17 Boards) @ Hardware Zone
Zitat
[...]Among the many boards, the comprehensive ShieldWare, Cool-Plus detachable cooler and U-Plus D.P.S. module grabbed Gigabyte's GA-8GPNXP Duo our Most Innovative Product Award. The DFI LANPartyUT 915P-T12 also won our Most Innovative Product Award by virtue of its excellent enthusiast oriented technologies such as the CMOS Reloaded and EZ Touch switches. Their Karajan audio module is also an interesting way to try enhancing onboard audio quality.

For those that are setting their sights on budget friendly solutions, there are a few boards which hover around the US$100 range. If you're just looking for rock bottom bargain prices, then the ECS 915P-A might catch your fancy at US$82 (the last time we checked that is). However, savvy users trying to find the best bang for buck will want to take a good look at Gigabyte's GA-8I915P Duo Pro. The board comes with decent features, dual memory support, performs like a champ, and all for a US$115 price tag. The Gigabyte GA-8I915P Duo Pro not only won our Most Value For Money Award, it is also our overall Winner for the DDR category.

With the top spot for DDR taken, we moved on to the remaining DDR2 capable boards in search for our winner. The ASUS P5GD2 Premium was able to achieve an almost perfect score in every category. It is a board that is packed with features, heavily optimized for performance and overclocking, and yet retains rock solid stability. The board will also be the only one where you would actually be impressed just by looking at the packaging itself. While it is by far the most expensive board in our shootout, the returns seemed justified and thus, the ASUS P5GD2 Premium was crowned the overall Winner for the DDR2 category of our Intel 915P Express motherboard shootout.
