Review @ VR-ZoneThis motherboard certainly has some striking qualities... Overall well-designed motherboard, with a small placement error of Molex Power Connector. Looks extremely good with the backlights, features Wi Fi and a convenient CMOS Reset Switch behind. Performance is also pretty decent, so close to the top boards out there, although slightly slower at this stage. The power management of the Digital PWM seems pretty good, pushing the same CPU slightly further than competitor's board. Good spacing around socket as well.
What's poking me is the FSB issues with Conroe at the moment, on my particular board. Can this be an isolated case? I don't know. The SLI issue with 8800GTS as well, I'm stumped. I did not see many people complain about these, among those who already have the board, so perhaps it's really an unlucky case for me. The BIOS should get a lot better, and the multiplier issue really shouldn't be a bother since it already came with the Beta BIOS; Although how they could have shipped a board without this feature settled puzzles me.
Hard for me to draw a conclusion at this point... I will feel biased if I base my conclusion upon this one problematic board. Maybe when I get to try another board, I can share some updates. This board would have scored quite high if these issues got resolved as it features some unique stuff, such as the programmable running LEDs etc...
