hibernate/resume is immer noch ziemlich langsam nach meinem gefühl/im vergleich zu winxp (war auch schon bei jj so). muss mal wieder uswsusp ausprobieren (ubuntuforums thread empfehlung, bei jj hats nicht geholfen)

Also ich hab einen Huawei E16X (der duerfte sich vom USB-Interface her nur wenig vom E220 unterscheiden), und es funktioniert viel besser mit 9.10 als jemals unter 9.04.

Nachdem der "option"-Treiber geladen wird, sollte es eigentlich funktionieren. Kannst du den Output von `lsusb -n` vielleicht auch noch nachreichen?

Ich meinte eh -v, ja  (Bin "-n" von den pci-utils so gewohnt, um die Ausgabe zu verkuerzen…  Wie auch immer, die Statusmeldung sieht nicht gut aus. Testhalber schon einmal an einem anderen USB-Port dein Glueck versucht?

hab immer zwischen den front-usb ports gewechselt. die hinteren hab ich noch nicht probiert. aber das kanns ja nicht sein, wie gesagt, unter jj lief das tadellos. war seitdem ich 9.04 am lappi nutze so begeistert von ubuntu, jetzt stellts mich anscheinend auf die probe ... update: auf den hinteren ports besteht das gleiche problem. lsusb zeigt das modem sogar kurz an, aber nach ein paar sec isses weg. dann kommts wieder kurz um gleich danach wieder zu verschwinden. unter jaunty hat man im netzwerkmanager ja nur breitbandverbindungen angezeigt bekommen wenn ein modem angeschlossen war. mir zeigt es die eingerichtete verbindung nie an. eben weil er das modem ganz offensichtlich nicht "findet"

also, bin froh bis jezt auf meinem thinkpad noch jj belassen zu haben. hatte ja von einem problem mit dem mobilem internet (telering willi 6gb, huawei e220) berichtet.
scheinbar bin ich nicht der einzige mit dem problem. das huawei e220 und andere modems funktionieren in kk nicht. angeblich soll bald ein kernel-fix kommen.
verdammt schade das sowas in einer final passiert. hätte doch in der beta auffallen müssen?!  habe e220 von 3 und geht so wie immer ootb (aktuelles fw update gemacht?)

firmware update hab ich am huawei noch nicht gemacht. sicher ein versuch wert. kann auf der huawei-support-seite allerdings nur client software finden?! welche firmware soll ich woher nehmen? tia UPDATE: habe einen neuen fred erstellt um diesen hier seinem ursprünglichen thema zurückzuführen. sorry4hijacking ...

hat noch wer das problem, dass manchmal programme in der taskleiste bleiben, obwohl sie geschlossen/in der statusleiste/sonstwo sein sollten? ohne beschriftung, nur das logo und auf allen arbeitsflächen. ich krieg die da auch nicht mehr weg, weil wenn ich kopete jetzt noch mal aufmache, hab ich 2 kopetes in der taskleiste.
