ich hab auf meinem laptop probleme mit dem sound.
es is ein compaq armada 1592DT.
laut google sollte eine ESS 1878 PnP oder eine ESS 1688 drin sein.
mein prob ist nur das ein lspci oder ein pnpdump nichts von einer soundkarte anzeigt.

ich hatte mal kurz windoof oben und da war es eine ESS 1878 PnP die auch gelaufen ist.

hat da vielleicht wer eine idee? :)

probier mal:

-passendes modul suchen in modconf
-mit knoppix oder anderer live cd booten, schaun ob sound geht => kernel und moduleinstellungen übernehmen

naja knoppix hab ich wo rumliegen aber die hat mich auch nicht weiter gebracht.
und wenn ich versuch das modul zu starten wird mir gesagt das kein gerät dafür vorhanden ist.

das was mich eben ein bissl wundert is das ich keine soundkarte finde...
ich hab bei meinem 1. post eh schon dazu geschrieben

das ist mein haupt problem. weil wenn ich mal eine karte finden würde wärs kein problem mehr :)

lösung:
pnpdump -c > /etc/isapnp.cfg
isapnp
modprob sb irq=5
