Googles hat seinem Betriebssystem Chromium ein passendes Netbook entwickelt. Die Gerüchteküche zur Hardware brodelt kräftig: fix scheint nur das Betriebssystem. Eine ARM-CPU und NVIDIAs Tegra 2 sprechen gegen die Bezeichnung Netbook aber für eine brauchbare Basis.
