Ist nicht die einzige, neue Klage vom Irren Elon Musk is suing the mods of r/Cyberstuck, a subforum on Reddit, alleging that mods defamed Tesla by creating a forum to post negative reviews of their truck online. TESLA — Elon Musk is taking the mods of r/Cyberstuck to court after they created a sub forum on Reddit to post unflattering comments about their truck on social media.
Musk filed a libel lawsuit against the mods of r/Cyberstuck alleging they defamed Tesla by providing a forum filled with negative posts with the intention of deterring potential customers. "I'm very disappointed that something like this could happen in a America like this," Musk said. "I mean, I thought we had free speech. I think they are woke bullies, and I wonder, is the Cybertruck that bad? If you look at the reviews, Cybertruck customers always say 'still love the truck." Posts on the forum states that Cybertrucks are uninsurable, a claim the business called "categorically false." Tesla also alleges numerous posts made other "baseless allegations" about the truck's quality and pricing like one user who said, "Buying a Cybertruck is like getting a tattoo of your ex's name— regretful and permanent." Telsa maintains it warned the mods of r/Cyberstuck potential legal action before the suit was filed on August 7. David Ross, an attorney representing Musk, sent the mods of r/Cyberstuck cease and desist notice on July 19. He asked them to close the forum from sharing defamatory statements about the company and to remove or retract each of the offending posts. "Not only are the posts blatantly false, they are extremely damaging to Telsa''s reputation and have caused and will continue to cause irreparable injury and damage to its business," according to the notice, which was included in the court file. "It goes without saying, Tesla takes it reputation very seriously, and will not sit idly by while there are social media posts make false and defamatory statements online." But after receiving the notice, the mods of r/Cyberstuck defended themselves in a Reddit post, which was highlighted in the complaint. "I’m sorry, but he’s going to SUE us for exercising First Amendment rights? What happened to free speech?" the mods of r/Cyberstuck wrote, according to the lawsuit. "Go on Twitter. You will see what he says to other people as well. Apparently, we have woke mind virus. LMAO! Business must suck for this little man!” "Today we received a notice from his attorney, he is trying to sue us for spreading the truth...Attorney should be more concerned about the quality of the client they represent." In at least one post on the forum, there was mention of a Tesla bro dying in a fiery Cybertruck crash, saying "everything is fried" and "he was burnt to crisp", yet other posters claimed the ghost of the Tesla bro 'Still love the truck'. In other posts, it was claimed that Cybertrucks gets mistaken for a dumpster and people regularly throws garbage into the truck. There were also posts criticized the quality, too, claiming "everything is falling apart," according to the complaint. In its July 19 notice, Tesla claimed most of the posts were inaccurate.
