I use a mobilepre for recording and playback, When im gaming I use the onboard realtek hd.
I have a audigy se sitting around would it be useful to install? Or is it similar to onboard, it should take a small load of the pc but would there be any difference.
Should I stick to one card?
Is there conflicts using multiple cards?

It's kind of surprising your onboard sound adapter works at all, modern systems' BIOS usually disable those devices components once there's a dedicated card installed.

However, I don't see a point in utilizing your onboard-card at all - expansion cards usually provide better performance than highly integrated solutions (in terms of features, quality and CPU-usage).
