Review @ OCWorkBenchThis Gigabyte ODIN GT 550W Power Supply has no problem providing enough current to support my power hungry system that draw as much as 260W according to P-Tuner. The 14cm fan is the largest you can ever get for a power supply, it is quiet and my casing is now neater than before thanks to the Smart Cable Management.
The Power Tuner software is probably the first power supply management software, allowing you to monitor, configure and set alarm for Voltage, Current, Fan Speed and Temperature. The User Interface is attractive and easy to use, but I will also prefer a more compact interface that can stay on top of my screen all the time, or minimize to a tray icon displaying useful information.
I see a lots of potential and room for improvement in the Power Tuner software. For example, since the settings will be saved in the non-volatile memory inside the PSU, user may not be able to power on the system in some rare cases, such as setting the voltages too low or too high. In this case, you will need to hook up the USB cable to another working system, install Power Tuner and revert the settings. I will suggest a hardware reset button to make resetting easier.
