Hi!

Ich bearbeite grad ein etwas stures IBM-Thinkpad.
Das Ding hat ein unbekanntes BIOS-Passwort.
Ich bekomm's jedoch nicht weg, selbst wenn ich die Batterie für eine Stunde rausnehme.

Was kann ich machen?

Sry, ich hab mich wohl falsch ausgedrückt.

Es ist nicht nur ein Bios-Passwort sondern es sperrt auch die Boot-Sequenz. Ergo kann ich das Notebook nicht starten!

was is wenn du die batterie über einen tag oder so raus nimmst?

bei meinem toshiba is genau das gleiche gewesen... habs dann über nacht raus genommen...

Sollte kein anderer Lösungsvorschlag mehr kommen, werd ich genau das tun :).

Schon komisch.. das Ding wird doch ned noch irgendwo eine 2te Knopfzelle haben, oder das PW gar in einen kleinen Flashspeicher schreiben?!

Ich hoffe du kannst Englisch:

If you cannot boot the ThinkPad, you will have to reset the IBM ThinkPad password via hardware.

If only the power-on password is set, do the following to remove the power-on password.

1)Power off the computer
2)Remove the DIMM cover on the bottom side of the computer.
3)Short-circuit the two password pads or put a jumper on the contacts to short the circuit.
4)Under the short-circuit condition, power on the computer and wait until the POST ends. After the POST ends, the password prompt does not appear. The power-on password is removed.
5)Reinstall the DIMM cover.

Wenn's ein Supervisor-Passwort zusätzlich zum PowerOn-Passwort gibt und du das nicht weißt, kommst du an einer kostenpflichtigen Lösung nicht vorbei.

Des Englischen bin ich mächtig, zumindest reichts für den Text ;).

Allerdings find ich unter dem Dimm-Cover keine pw-pads.. was immer das sein soll. Da sind nur die 2 So-Dimm Slots. Kein Jumper, kein 'pad'..

Sicher, dass der Text fürs t30 ist?
