ALSA -driver und Software installieren ?

hoi alle, hab ein 8k3a und somit den vt8233A chipsatz, von via gibt es keinen treiber für redhat 8 bzw den kernel 2.4.18-18

darum machte ich dass, was in dem forum von via steht:

hab die 3 dateien gesaugt und wollte sie nach diesem tutorial installieren:

hmmm es is schon nachts und noch immer keine g33ks da ?

ich weiß schon dass ac97 onboard sound crap is .. aber wird ja trotzdem jemand geben der den benutzt unter linux ? or not ?

thread zwar schon alt aber vielleicht hat wer andrer den selben Fehler:

das bedeutet du musst die Kernel Sourcen runterladen, sind aber sowieso auf den Redhat CD's drauf, meist unter Entwicklerpakete oder so

Warum nimmst du nicht gleich die RPMs von http://psyche.freshrpms.net/ (RPM Liste auf linke Seite) ?

Eine kurze Installationsanleitung (ist zwar für RH9, sollte aber auch ähnlich unter RH 8.0 funktionieren):
